My little one (5 weeks) nursed for two hours tonight with only a brief stop for a diaper change. He had been feeding most of the day with short naps in between. It got to the point tonight that my breast started tingling uncomfortably.
Any advice???
Thanks!

"this too shall pass ..." and evolve.
slinging or mobying your babe helps during these marathon sessions. -

Fri, July 4, 2008 - 9:57 PMAlso a good DVD series works well. You know, some show that you've always been interested in, but never had ten hours to catch up on? Now's your chance. I borrowed about three of my mom's BBC britcom sets and vegged out. It was awesome. -

Re: Nursing for Hours At a Time--Help!
Mon, July 7, 2008 - 1:43 PMHang in there Freya. I remember in the early days it felt like all I ever did was nurse. They do get better at it in the end and then it doesn't take as long. You are still establishing your milk supply and your wee one is getting ready for his 6 week growth spurt so you are doing the right thing. You will be grateful for all the milk in the end.
I agree about watching something on TV. That was what I did and still do when I'm nursing Connor. -
